The 2024 ACUSAfrica conference is the second conference hosted by the network, and is on the theme: Leveraging Critical University Studies Towards the Practical Pursuit of an Afrocentric University.
The conference is interested in approaching the question of an Afrocentric University through the lens of Critical University Studies and other alternative approaches to the study of the university. It is interested in work that provides a critique of the Afrocentric university in the sense of both deconstruction and the generation of alternatives that might yield practical hooks in working towards universities that serve their African contexts.
