Riyad Shahjahan (University of Michigan State, USA), Tasnim Ema and Nisharggo Niloy (both associated with the University of Dakka, Bangladgesh) will discuss their research "Navigating Shomoycapes and faculty life in the Global South: Bangladeshi faculty perspective". Drawing on interviews and participant observations with 22 faculty in Dhaka, these authors aim to illuminate the notion of shomoyscapes, and how such timescapes manifest among their faculty respondents.


Carolina Guzmán-Valenzuela (University of Tarapacá, Chile) and Fadia Dakka (University Birmingham City University, UK) will respond to their research, drawing on their own experiences and research.
